Repeaters

Sometimes radio systems require the use of a repeater. A
repeater increases the range and capabilities of your portable or mobile radio communications, solving coverage problems quickly and easily. They can also be easily made into a Base Station allowing a desktop operator to communicate with other radios in the field.

Some warehouse and taxi companies use repeaters set to the low
power for continuous communication for a distance of up to 20 miles.
Delivery truck companies might set to high power for less frequent
communication of up to 40 miles.*

*Range is dependant on antenna height.
